*Ugh*...
Just got home. I can't believe I actually made it to Saturday. I imagined that I would've conked out already by Friday morning... very proud that I made it through to the end of the week.
Work was very dramatic again today. It's GREAT having Lui as our site-coordinator because we've all got really compatible personalities and vision. Though... maybe we're all too alike??
So what happened today? Well... three events really stuck out...
ONE - A HUGE bee flew into the classroom while Amanda and I were team-teaching. I was the first one under the table... the seven 5 year olds all looked at me while I squealed like a pig under the table... I'M TERRIFIED OF BEES!
TWO - We were taking the temperatures of all kids to make sure they were well enough to be in class. We set the highest body temp to be admitted at 37 celsius. We tested the themometers on ourselves. Mine kept coming up at 37, so I was fine... Amanda's kept coming up at 38.7. She freaked out and dashed off to the doctor's thinking she contracted SARS... turns out... we have a faulty thermometer: Lui went from 36.7 to 38.9 in 2 minutes flat... Oops??
THREE - Hard to explain, I'll just type out the script:

Ms. Olivia: "O.K. class, time to go home. I have a letter here for your mummies, please remember to give her the letter, alright?"
Student: "Ms. Olivia, do you have a mummy?"
Ms. Olivia: "Yes sweetie, I have a mummy."
Student: "Are you a mummy?"
Ms. Olivia: "No. Why? Do I look like a mummy?"
Student: "Yes, because you have a tummy like a mummy."
Ms. Olivia (in her head): "#%)$^(*&#%)($^&#*(@^&$^()#(&*"

'Nuff said... I guess I set myself up for that one?? I was VERY tempted to shove the kid into the trash can...
Gotta go... I feel my body shutting down... Did I mention that LKF is starting to look like my second home now?
