*Serendipity*
One of my favourite words in the dictionary. It's the only word that can describe my weekend.
Friday night was Turkish dinner night. Saturday was shopping and Paramount... Sunday was Central Park. It was so amazing. Liz and I had set out for the park to do some skating. Since my skates are in Toronto, Liz and I were looking for Wollman Rink in the park. For some reason though, we couldn't find it. Instead, we came across the Conservatory Waters where they had brushed away the snow, and people could skate on the waters. Liz had her skates, so she skated around while I soaked in the sun in the middle of a pond, in the middle of a park. It was the ultimate New York moment. I saw some kids sledding down a hill in the park and I begged Liz to go buy a sled with me and go sledding. What was supposed to be an hour of sledding, turned into 3 and a half hours til-the-sun-goes-down sledding expedition. We went scouting around the park for the best bumps and found the hill of all hills. Our first run down ended with the two of us mid-mountain after being thrown into the air after we went over the biggest bumps in the world. I ended up flying through the air, landing on my back, injuring my neck and bumped my head real bad on a tree root. I'm completely black and blue from yesterday, but Liz and I have agreed that yesterday was the best fun we've had in ages. We're going to sled again before the season's over since we're now proud owners of our own sleds.
I've got loads of reading to catch up on now... Hope everyone's well. I'll be catching up on emails soon. *smooch*~
