*Tin Can*
After being cooped up in a tin can for 17 hours, I've finally made it to HK.
Our new place is smashing! It turned out a lot better than I expected. Mum and Dad gave me some rather strange descriptions of the place, but now that I'm actually here, I think it looks like some posh hotel instead of "home". Awesome!
My fever was still raging when we were within an hour of landing in HK. I chewed on about a litre of ice while we were landing... and kept chewing on some more while I walked through the heat scanners at the HK Airport... thank goodness I passed it... I even lied on the SARS health card we had to fill out. Funnily enough though, no one asked for it. I didn't even know who to hand that health card to at the airport. What a waste of paper.
A kid 3 rows behind me managed to wail and scream non-stop for 17 hours. His dad was useless, and his mum passed out while standing in front of the loos, mid-flight. Makes me question whether or not I really want to have children... Maybe I'll just get one of those robotic dogs (Aibo) instead.
Time to go to bed. I'm knackered. I leave for Bangkok and Phuket on Monday with the 'rents and my sister. By Monday, I'll have been in 4 countries within one week. Pretty awesome... but extremely taxing...
Will post more about my "slap" from being back here. It just hit me as soon as I stepped onto the plane at Newark. Remind me why I keep coming back to HK?~
