*Election 2004*
It's quite an experience, being able to experience first-hand, the frenzy of an election year here in the USA.
I have never, in my life, observed something so... insane. It's really all quite exciting, but being an outsider and not really knowing a whole lot about the background of these candidates, I'm trying to be careful about what I think (vote Kerry!) and what I say (vote Kerry!).
The attacks are quite vicious. The two candidates couldn't be more different. I'm quite Liberal... therefore, Kerry is really the only choice for me. Besides... being in the program I'm in, we naturally have a riot poking fun of Bush's words... Especially the one he made-up at the last debate - "Fastler".
Besides the ad attacks and rallies, there are also cartoons - my absolute FAVOURITE part of this election. Here are my two favourites so far (in viewing order):

My friend Amy came to visit this past weekend, and it was as though she had never left. Things seemingly returned to normal, and for a short, bright period of time this weekend... we actually forgot we had a pile of work to plough through.
Yes, people... PLEASE come to New York and offer yourself up as a distraction for me. My work here is making me a Loon. My a** and my chair will soon be one if I'm not given an excuse to leave my desk... so DO come and haul me off to a bar.
