Woohoo! I'm done. I'm DONE! I finished and handed in my last paper today for my post-grad. YAY!
That paper was definitely the WORST paper I've ever written. It started off strong, but it rapidly lost steam as I realised the articles I had picked up were really crap. The abstracts in the articles were strong, but the actual research and summaries were really awful. I also lost interest in the topic I was writing on... sucky.
Right, loads happened since my last post. One thing in particular was a lunch on Thursday with my tutor from the university. I was so embarrassed that day. A couple weeks ago when we talked about this lunch, everyone said ok to the idea. When I turned up for the lunch on Thursday, there were only 7 of us plus our tutor. I was so ashamed of my class. These are people I spent the last school year with, and the tutor that made it all happen for us. Couldn't they spare an hour of their day for a lunch to show their appreciation for someone who put in loads of effort to make things easier for us? I don't know if I've mentioned this yet, but I WAS SO EMBARRASSED! I was sick to my stomach after the lunch. I have never seen such a display of disrespect... If this were back home in Canada, I'm sure everyone would've come out to say thanks. Ugh.
What else... I spanked a whole bunch of money yesterday. Bad, bad news. I bought some really gorgeous stuff though, and I didn't buy any brand-name stuff, so I'm mighty proud of myself.
Gotta sleep now. Work again tomorrow... then I'm celebrating! WOOHOO!~
