*The calm AFTER the storm*
Gosh. I didn't realise the power of "celebrities" until after the Madrid team left HK.
In the 4 days that they spent in HK, people forgot about the economic slump, the high unemployment and the intense heat around the city. Everywhere, you could feel the buzz of excitement and people seemed to be happy for the first time in ages. It seemed though, that the minute they left... reality comes back and slaps us in the face.
I forgot to mention the game on Friday! It was SO AWESOME! I've now developed a fondness for Carlos (probably due to the fact that he tried to cop a feel when I was standing with him the other day). And I'm still amazed by Ronaldo's footwork. I've also realised that I'm not so into David Beckham as a football player, but I like him as a celebrity. He's super nice and polite... but he was pretty disappointing on the football pitch.
Anyways... All in all, it was a pretty amazing 4 days. I KNOW I'll be talking about this for years to come... I'm now DEFINITELY a die-hard Madrid fan. VIVA ESPAÑA!~
