*Olé!*
Oh my GOODNESS!!!! I TOUCHED MADRID!
It was so awesome. Mum and Sarah were at a "club" today, having tea with my aunt Agnés when... The WHOLE Real Madrid team checked into their hotel and came over to use the club gym. They called me a.s.a.p., and I almost broke my back reaching for the cell when they called (I was trying to grab the phone quickly while trying to maintain my warrior pose). I ran back up and threw on some clothes... and spent 2 wonderful hours at the club with the team. Well... it wasn't exactly WITH the team, but I got to talk to them and got autographs from them (no pictures though, they say it distracts them from their training). It was SO awesome. I actually had a lovely conversation with the Head Coach (Queiroz) completely in Spanish, and he gave me his autograph at the end (though... he's Portuguese, isn't he?). I talked to David Beckham (gosh he's SO AWESOME!) and he gave me TWO autographs... Salgado was soooo nice and he was totally surprised when I asked him to sign something for me (in Spanish)... Gosh... it was just way too awesome. Figo wasn't very nice though... he's off my "cool" list of players now. And Ronaldo... well... let's say I'm so disappointed. He's MUCH shorter than I expected... and he has definitely gained a lot of weight. But... he was still nice and signed something for me.
It was so cool. I don't care if I don't get to go to the game on Friday now. There were only about 10 of us there today (my sis included!). Seriously, how many people get to talk and TOUCH these guys?? It was seriously the highlight of my life so far (yes... I lead a pretty sad life).
I still can't get over how long David Beckham held on to my hand for. It was actually quite embarrassing. He was actually expecting me to pass him my pen so he could sign something, but I didn't realise it... I was just so shocked that David Beckham was holding onto my hand... christ...
Ok... I've got to go and take a bubble bath and calm down now. Oh MY GOODNESS... I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that I just spent 2 hours with probably some of the best footballers in the world.
Casillas was laughing at my Spanish though... but hey... at least I tried!
Oh... did I mention that I got to see ALL of them in their swimming trunks?? Gosh...~
