*Huh?*...
I started teaching my first summer camp session today. I've got 9 little ones (actually, not so little) in my class... Of these 9... a whopping 3 of them are special needs. Uh... when did I start becoming a special needs teacher? It was so tiring and just... plain exhausting. I had 2 assistants in there with me... and I still managed to lose sight of a wanderer at 5 minute intervals (this wanderer is not special needs... but I suspect he has ADHD). Gosh... I don't actually mind it, but I wish I were trained for Special Needs and learned the skills to engage them in activities properly... I'm actually thinking of changing my Graduate work to Special Education... Maybe I'll be able to help more people that way...
