Sorry, just wanted to add this thought here. As a lot of you know, I have a very strong opinion about how a lot of the people here in HK think. One thing I have never been able to get over, is how people keep hanging on to the past. Yes, HK used to be a very properous city with loads of opportunities and money for all. But get over it! It's not like that anymore. People want to hang on to the same pay they've been getting when economically, it can't happen. They complain about pay-cuts, and they don't think about the alternative until it actually happens to them. Then they winge and whine about it's so unfair that they lost their jobs. Enough already! To illustrate this point, here's an article in today's paper about the lowering of taxi fares. Check out the last paragraph where they say that the rates will be back to the levels 10 year ago, and if it's fair. FAIR?? Would they rather all be out of a job? No one cabs about anymore (except for me, because i haven't figured the buses out yet). Before, I never used to be able to get a cab in Central... now, they're all over the place!
