*Tears of Joy*
In all my years of teaching, there has never been a "defining moment"... until this evening...
For the first time ever, I actually cried during class. I cried tears of joy... It was so AWESOME!
ALL 7 students that came today came up with extraordinary sentences when I asked for them. To top it off, one student in particular came up with a grammatically correct and COMPLEX sentence all by himself. I was so shocked I was shaking as I wrote his sentence up on the board. I can't even begin to describe the feeling... it was such a beautiful thing. I also feel good about myself because it shows that all that I've said, has somehow sunk in... SO AWESOME!
Yeah, I cried in class today... But they were tears of joy... I don't think many teachers experience this feeling. It's times like these when I remember why I love teaching so much. *GRIN*~
